LOS MAREADOS
Arguably the UK’s foremost Tango dance band, with a great compas to inspire the dancers in the milonga. Los Mareados are a “dancers” Tango band; in fact they were formed with the intention of not just playing Tango, but to play Tango to dance to. The fact that they achieve this aim can be heard on this first CD. The band are regular favourites in the milongas in the UK.

The first, and impressive, CD from the UK Tango band TANGO VOLCANO. It pleases us to say that they can rival many of the bands from Buenos Aires itself. On this CD they present us with a potpourri of the old, the new and the future, with traditional Tangos mixed with some favourite Piazzolla pieces plus several brand new Tangos especially written for the band by contemporary composers from as far afield as Northern Siberia and Uruguay

GUILLERMO ROSENTHÜLER - Mirando al Sur
Guillermo came to the UK from his native Buenos Aires several years ago to promote his career as a singer/guitarist of Tango, Latin and Jazz. He is also an accomplished vocalist in Argentine folkloric music. Now based in London, he travels extensively, not least back to his home city, where he recorded this CD. When in the UK he sings with the Tango band “Los Mareados”, and features on their forthcoming CD

LOS TAURAS - En vivo en Europa
Carlos Quilici and his music have become well-known in the milongas of Europe and in his home town in Rosario, Mar de Plata, Argentina. This CD was recorded during live concerts in Turin, Italy and Oslo, Norway whilst Carlos and his Quintet were on tour. Being a capable tango dancer has enabled Carlos to have a good feel for what the dancers in a milonga require from a live band, whether he is playing with his duo or his quintet. This is the 4th CD that Carlos has made.

LOS RANAS - Tango + Electronica
This CD is Carlos Quilicis venture and experimentation into the Nuevo world of fusion between “traditional” tango sounds and electronic instrumentation, and features Carlos on bandoneon, Javier Fioramonti on guitar and programming and Mariano Braun on piano, programming and samplers. There are only four tracks on this CD, but each one is well worth listening too, and for the tango nuevo dancers out there, worth dancing too, as well.

IGOR OUTKINE - Russian Tangos, Valses, Romances and Folk Songs
Anyone who has heard Igor playing as part of the fantastic MOZAIKA g roup will know what a great musician and singer he is. This is Igor’s own CD in which he sings and plays solo bayan (accordian) for most of the tracks which include many of the soulful Russian tangos. On the last four tracks he is accompanied on violin by his Sarah Harrison. Besides the tangos there are several traditional Russian folk tunes, a delight to listen to themselves.

TANGO FROM THE HEART - 270 minute TEACHING DVD
This DVD features the teaching method developed by AGUSTINA VIDELA &  CLAUDIO ASPREA. This DVD takes you through the very basics of learning to dance tango, both for a leader and a follower, to a level where you should be able tc improvise and dance musically in any milonga you visit.
Besides the 230 minutes of classes, there are also 40 minutes of extra material featuring comments on dancing at milongas in Buenos Aires ( a worthwhile lesson in itself), clips of Musamistonga orchestra and much more. Having seen many teaching videos this is the best we have encountered so far and are therefore happy to promote and recommend it on our site.
